Vintage, circa 1978, Unidirectional Electret Condenser microphone. Tested and works beautifully with a clear, warm & balanced analog tone. Uses internal power via AA battery (not included). Comes with metal clip holder for standard mic stands.
[In 1978, Audio-Technica in Japan released their very first line of microphones - the 800 series - and the AT813 slotted into that lineup as a vocal AND instrument microphone. Has dense woven-metal headbasket, which allows for rejection of wind, pops, and plosives. The AT813 microphone was based around an electret condenser capsule, and has the extended frequency and transient response of a condenser microphone - similar to Shure SM81. Some have said the AT813 has a fuller tone than the SM81).]
